A commitment to
Internet end users
Strengthen ICANN’s legitimacy, accountability and effectiveness by ensuring that the voice of individual Internet users is meaningfully represented and heard in Board decision‑making, while safeguarding the security, stability, and resiliency of the DNS.

Core Principles
End‑User Focus
ICANN policies and operations must serve global Internet users, not only contracted parties or well‑resourced stakeholders.
Multistakeholder Balance
Preserve and improve ICANN’s multistakeholder model
- by a meaningful participation of all stakeholder concerned by the management of the Internet unique identifiers and
- by ensuring equitable participation across regions, languages, gender and economic contexts.
Transparency & Accountability
Decisions must be understandable, well‑documented, and accountable to the community.
Global Public Interest
ICANN should act consistently with the global public interest, especially for underserved and developing regions.
Strategic Priorities
Accountability, Transparency, and Trust
- Ensure full implementation and follow‑up of Accountability and Transparency Review Team (ATRT) recommendations.
- Improve Board–community interaction, including clearer explanations of Board rationale when diverging from community advice.
- Strengthen mechanisms for community input earlier in Board deliberations.
Strengthening the At‑Large and End‑User Voice
- Reinforce the role of At‑Large advice in Board and organizational decision‑making.
- Support capacity building for At‑Large Structures (ALSes) and individual users, especially in under‑represented regions.
- Strengthen multilingualism and accessibility in ICANN processes and documentation.
Globalization and Inclusive Participation
- Reduce structural and financial barriers to participation for volunteers and non‑commercial stakeholders.
- Support ICANN’s regional engagement strategies to ensure true global representation.
DNS Policy and Program Oversight
- Support Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) and Universal Acceptance as essential tools for linguistic and cultural diversity online.
- Ensure that policy implementation remains faithful to community intent.
- Secure the Application support program results particularly in underserved regions from the last round of new gTLDS.
- Contribute to a balanced review of the New gTLD Program, incorporating end‑user perspectives on competition, consumer trust and choice, and abuse mitigation.
Internet Governance and ICANN’s Role
- Defend and strengthen the multistakeholder Internet governance model in global fora.
- Clarify ICANN’s mission boundaries while ensuring responsible cooperation with other Internet governance actors.
- Promote ICANN as a trusted, neutral, and technically focused global organization.
- Support the voice of Internet End Users in global fora.
Board Conduct and Contribution
- Act independently and in the best interests of ICANN as a whole, while remaining attentive to At‑Large perspectives.
- Encourage consensus‑driven Board discussions and respect for diverse viewpoints.
- Uphold high ethical standards, integrity, and accountability in all Board activities.
Commitment
If selected for ICANN Board Seat 15, I commit to
- Active engagement with the At‑Large community and regular reporting on Board activities.
- Listening carefully to community concerns across all regions.
- Working constructively with fellow Board members to strengthen ICANN for the benefit of all Internet users.
- Supporting and elaborating, in the (possible) framework of an ICANN holistic review, the need for a second ICANN At-Large Board seat.
